Özet (EN)
In many studies, the relationship between physical activity and renin - angiotensin system (RAS) parameters has been stated. The effects of RAS the on the body occur in many different pathways. Ang IV/AT4R is one of these pathways. The effects of this pathway on the brain facilitate memory and learning and have various effects on peripheral tissues. The AT4 receptor is found in high concentrations in the adrenal gland and has also been detected in other tissues including the spleen, colon and bladder. In many studies, the relationship between physical activity and RAS parameters was determined. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between acute and chronic exercise and serum Ang IV level. In this study, 42 Wistar rats (21 male and 21 female) aged 12-14 weeks were used. Rats were divided into six groups as; Control Male (KE), Acute Exercise Male (AEE), Chronic Exercise Male (KEE), Control Female (KD), Acute Exercise Female (AED) and Chronic Exercise Female (KED) (n = 7). Acute exercise groups were given exercise at one time (speed and time when they were not trained). Treadmill exercises were given to chronic exercise groups for 6 weeks, 5 days a week, 30 min/day and 15 m/min. At the end of the experiment, blood samples were taken from rats and serum Ang IV levels were determined by ELISA method. As a result of the studies, there was a difference between the control and exercise groups in terms of Ang IV levels, but it was not statistically significant. However, when male and female groups were compared, it was shown that there was a difference in Ang IV level. This study showed that exercise increased Ang IV, although not statistically significant in male rats but decreased Ang IV in female rats.
