Özet (EN)
This study was carried out retrospectively at Orthopedics and Traumatology clinic of Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine Hospital in 2015. We studied Scheuermann's kyphosis (SK) and Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) patients who underwent operation at Orthopedics and Traumatology clinic of Dokuz Eylul University between 2004 and 2011. Our study includes the patients who has scoliosis AP/Lat graphy before and after surgery and has been followed for at least two years. 20 people were selected in every group; 1. Group : Scheuermann Kyphosis patients, 2. Group : AIS patients, 3. Group: The person who consults for different disorders and has no other spinal injury has been included in our study. Radiological measurements have been performed and recorded by same surgeon who used Surgimap Spine program. In the first group that has 20 Scheuermann patients, pre operation and post operation Cobb angles were measured and recorded. In the second group, which has 20 AIS patients, pre operation and post operation Cobb angles and T1 angles were measured and recorded. Afterwards, SF-36, SRS 22r, COMI spine health and life scores were applied and recorded for all three groups. Pre operation and post operation Cobb angles for the patients who have Scheuermann kyphosis were measured as 73,9 (± 7,13) and 50,9 (± 2,29) respectively. In scoliosis patients, Pre operation and post operation Cobb angles were found 46,5 (±9,3) and 3,4 (±3,47) respectively. Furthermore, pre operation and post operation T1 tilt angle were found to be 2,0 (±4,6) and 2,30 (±2,76) respectively. When we reviewed previous studies, we saw that only one life health score was used. In our study, we used three different life health score and compared subscale of those life health scores, which were compatible with each other. We found that same areas of SF-36, SRS 22r, and COMI scores gave consistent and compatible results with each other. Even though our SK patients had lower scores than other groups in some subscales, they took higher scores overall. As a result of these data, we concluded that deformation in the spine affected negatively but the operations had positive effects on life quality of patients.
