Comparative evaluation of clinical effectiveness of clear aligner treatment

Abstract (EN)

The aim of study; Comparison of the clinical efficacy of clear aligner treatment with fixed orthodontic treatment. The clear aligner (CA) system (Group 1) and fixed orthodontic (Group 2) were applied to 30 individuals included in the study. (n=15) Pain relief application immediately before the appliance is applied (T0), appliance session (T1), 1st hour (T2), 2nd hour (T3), 4th hour (T4), 24th hour (T5). 2nd day (T6), 1st week (T7), 1st month (T8) and session when anterior crowding (T10) was removed. Bacterial flora analyzed with saliva sample collected at T0 and T8 times. Plaque index (PI), bleeding index (BI) and gingival index (GI) were measured at T0, T7, T8, and at the 3rd month (T9) of the event. T2 and T10 times were determined by the questionnaires of the patients. Dental arches evaluated with intraoral scans at T0 and T10 times. Maxillary intercanine, intermolar and dental arch values were actually determined in all. (p<0.05) All index elevations were higher in Group 2. (p<0.05). Hissing level at T1 time in Group 1 was significantly higher than Group 2. (p=0.8) The satisfaction level of the patients was higher in Group 2 than in Group 1 with prices. (p˂0.05) In Group 1, Lactobacillus sp.(p=0.007), Streptococcus sp.(p=0.024), Neisseria sp. (p=0.022) heartbeat over time. Lactobacillus sp. (p=0.005) and Streptococcus sp. (p= 0.013) It was observed to be high in Group 2. In addition, the fact that clear aligner treatment showed less pain and higher satisfaction suggested that it was advantageous compared to fixed orthodontic treatment.
