The usul of Shihab al-Din al-Remli (Special from Gâyetü'l-Me'mûl work)

In our study, 10/16 which hâs made a name for itself in the fiqh circle, hâs many works, hâs an important understanding of method, but there is no detailed academic study about it in terms of science. In this study, it was tried to introduce Shihab al-Din al-Remlî, who lived in the 19th century Egypt, to the world of science and to determine his ideas. Remlî was born in Egypt and died there. He lived in Egypt, which was first attached to the Mamluks in the 10th Gregorian 16th century, and then came under Ottoman rule. He was educated by the important scholars of the period and made a name for himself with the lessons he gave and the works he wrote. Remlî is a person who hâs made a name for himself both in his own century and in the next century, with his works in the literal sense and his students in the spiritual sense. In our study, it hâs been tried to research the life of a scholar who was influential in the field of methodology, his scientific personality and his position in his own sect, as well as his views and evaluations in the field of usul al-fiqh. While revealing Remlî's views on the methodology, the issues he allied with or disagreed with other methodology scholars, especially his own views, the innovations he brought to the methodology and the criticisms he brought to the methodology scholars on certain issues were mentioned.
