Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research; Highlighting Van's current potential in city labeling and highlighting Van's importance in gastronomy marketing. It is aimed to determine whether the local food culture is attracted by the tourism movement and to determine the contribution to the process of branding of Van. In the survey, a questionnaire that is one of the cross-sectional surveys was conducted to examine into the current potential of Van in the urban branding process and to emphasize the importance of Van local food as an important gastronomic product in this process. The questionnaire, developed by the researcher, includes Socio-demographic Information Form in the first part ; Gender, age, educational status, marital status, occupation and income status and in the second part the scale of the importance of Gastronomy Marketing in City Branding and applied to the volunteers take part in this research by face to face method. This research was modelled according to the descriptive survey model. Data were gathered without any change in the available characteristics of the participants of the research and the opinions of the participants were tried to be taken about the present situation. In this context, the research model relies on the descriptive survey model because it wants to emphasize Van's importance in gastronomic marketing by revealing the current potential of Van in the process of urban branding. SPSS 23.0 package program ,applied to the sampling participant, was used in the analysis of the data obtained from the " The Scale of The Importance of Gastronomic Marketing in Urban Branding " and interpreted in the result section and made suggestions.
