Determination of passenger?s ergonomics expections in intercity bus voyagers

The purpose of this study is to determine ergonomic expectations and preferences with directions of users who make intercity voyagers in Turkey by bus, to perform comfort analysis and to offer suggestions for designers by reaching out to the original source of discomfort.Research sample consisted of a total of 500 people being 267 men and 233 women not having a physical disability in the 18-75 age range. The data collection form to collect data (survey) and SPSS 15.0 program in the evaluation was used. Frequency and percentage distribution of the data was made, cross-tables was created and chi-square test was applied.According to research, it was determined that the significant discomfort was experienced because of seat layout dimensions and seat width. Moreover it was determined that neck, waist and back areas were the body parts that experienced the most discomfort and experienced the inconvenience was due to differences in the sitting position.
