The methodology of Shahristânî in his tafsir named Mafâtîh al-Asrâr

Abdulkarim Shahristânî (d. 548/1153) who was one of the leading scholarg in XI. century, in the time of Salchuks century Salchuks, is a multidiscipliner scholar had written in many areas like Tafsir. We have studied his methodolgy in Mafâtîhu?l-Asrâr which is one out of his ten books in this research, we took several databases like Quran, Tafsirs, Hadith and vary of biographies.Our theses was structured as introduction, four main chapters and a conclusion.In the introduction, the importance of this study, the methodology of it,In the first chapter, databases, His methodology, and His databases and His Ulumu?l Quran were briefly mentioned.In the second chapter, The Book was examined in terms of Rivayat.In the third chapter, The Book was eloborated in terms of Dirayat.In the fourth chapter, we disscussed about the `Asrar? part of the Book.In final chapter, we evaluated the information that had been found in this study.Keywords: Shahristânî, Mafâtîhul al-Asrâr, Tafsir, Asrar, Rivayat, Dirayat.
