Abstract (EN)

Objective: The main purpose of the study was to investigate whether the 8-week tabata exercises to be applied to football goalkeepers have an effect on agility, anaerobic power and reaction time. Material and Methods: The study consisted of goalkeepers in the Regional Amateur League teams in Aydın and Ġzmir. A total of (n=20) volunteer goalkeepers participated in the experimental group (n=10) and control group (n=10). Body weight and height measurements, body fat percentage, T test, vertical jump, Nelson reaction tests were applied to both groups at eight-week intervals. While the control group continued their routine soccer training for 45 minutes two days a week, the Tabata exercise group applied Tabata exercises in addition to their routine soccer training. The analysis of the obtained data was made with the SPSS 25.0 package program. Statistically, the Independent Sample T Test (Independent Sample t-test) was used in the measurements between the pre-test and post-test of the experimental and control groups, and the Paired Sample T-test (Dependent Sample t-test) was used in the analysis between the pre-test and post-test. Results and Conclusion: When we look at the research findings, there is a statistically significant difference in vertical jump, agility, left hand reaction strength and right hand reaction strength tests in the experimental group, and in the control group according to the results of the dependent sample t test, which was performed according to the Body Weight measurement, Body Fat Ratio measurement and Vertical Jump test results. (p<0.05). There was a statistically significant difference in age and agility variables as a result of the independent sample t-test performed according to the pre-test results of the experimental and control groups, and in the variables of age, body fat percentage, agility, right and left x hand claw strength as a result of the independent sample t-test performed according to the post-test results. (p<0.05). Keywords: Agility, Reaction
