Abstract (EN)

In recent years, as a result of rapid population growth, technological developments, industrialization, and urbanization, there have been serious increases in the amount and type of solid waste. Reducing and controlling environmental pollution as a result of this situation is one of the most important problems of today. Human wastage negatively affect society, family, and individuals as well as nature. Natural resources are rapidly depleting and the ecological balance is deteriorating. Uncontrolled disposal of solid waste causes the pollution of the underground and surface water resources. The problems caused by waste are more serious than we expected. The limited availability of resources for a sustainable environment threatens the future of human beings and it is important to protect the environment for sustainability. Therefore, solid waste management systems have been established in order to prevent environmental pollution and to use natural resources and raw material consumption consciously. Solid waste problems are minimized with appropriate disposal methods. In this sense, we are introduced to the concept of recycling. By recycling solid waste, it is possible to protect natural resources and reduce raw material consumption. Also, it provides economically significant savings. Solid waste is an economic value that is lost when not properly evaluated. In this study, the recycling process of textile industry waste is examined.
