Abstract (EN)
The name Seljuk comes from the name of Selçuk Sü-başı, a member of the founding family of the state. Seljuk state XI. In the middle of the century, emerged as a strong society in Iran Khorasan region. In half a century, this community reached Azerbaijan, Anatolia, Iraq, and Northern Syria via Iran. Turks and Iranians constituted the majority in Seljuk lands. While Turkish and Persian are used in spoken language, Persian is mainly used in written language. Seljuks made ewers with different techniques using different metals. Humans, plants, animals, writing, and astrological and geometric motifs were used in these ewers. This thesis examined the works supported by research, documentation, and visuals. It aimed to make designs using original fabric weavings and traditional motifs with new surface studies in textiles with unique artistic understanding and motif features.
