Abstract (EN)

The works copyrighted and the libraries established in the medieval Islamic world provided the formation of a great civilization accumulation. Many works were written in different scientific fields during the Seljuk period. While some of these works have reached the present day, some of them have not reached the present day for various reasons. In the disappearance of books in the medieval Islamic world; Wars and invasions, religious and political reasons, riots, natural disasters, fires, use of perishable materials in books, destruction of works prevented the books from reaching today. An important part of the sources that have not reached the present day are the sources of Seljuk history. The fact that the historians of the Seljuk period quoted the sources they benefited from in the historical sources that have survived to the present day, has allowed us to reach the sources that have not reached the present day and to have information about their contents. By benefiting from the information given by the basic sources and the researches on the Seljuk historical sources, the lost sources of the Seljuk history have been tried to be presented as literature. The works written during the Great Seljuk State and Turkey Seljuks period, giving information about the Seljuk history, but not reaching today for various reasons, have been identified and presented together with their contents. As a result, the lost sources of Seljuk history also contain important information. The fact that some sources have not reached the present day has deprived us of important information about Seljuk history. Keywords: Seljuk history, Library, Lost books, Historical sources
