Abstract (EN)
Turkish history has been shaped not only in a single region but in various geographies, and these geographies covered a large area. However, it has been the beginning of a centuries-long struggle for the Turks, who have spread and spread in such a wide range of regions from their homeland, to the geography of Anatolia and the Eastern Mediterranean because the foundations of a history of about a thousand years in Anatolia have been laid here. The developments, needs and wishes experienced in the pre-Islamic Turkish history have drawn the course of the periods after the transition of the Turks to Islam, and in terms of the possibilities offered, Anatolia has been a geography in which they constantly show interest. The movements of Anatolia started in the period of the Great Seljuks, with the Anatolian Seljuks, and the peak of the Mongolians. Although the Eastern Mediterranean geography was a very foreign region for the Turks, the adaptation of the Turkmens took place in a rapid manner and they were able to eliminate their inexperience by applying the information they obtained from environmental factors in a planned manner. Especially after they came in contact with Byzantium, this information transfer increased rapidly, and sometimes the number of talented Turkish sailors, who decreased and sometimes increased, took their places in history. Turkmens, who were settled in the western regions as planned as possible in the time of the Anatolian Seljuk State, managed to control these regions by means of continuous raids to the Aegean and Mediterranean coastal cities. However, all these developments continued until the war in Kösedağ in 1243, and then the political unity that had deteriorated in Anatolia could not be fully achieved until the arrival of the Ottomans.
