Selma Fındıklı's life, art and works

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the art understanding by examining the stories and novels of Selma Fındıklı who is known for her playwriting as a whole. In this study, the works of the author were mainly used. Firstly, general information about historical development of story and novel genre and life and art understanding of Selma Fındıklı are given. Then, the novels and stories of the author were examined in terms of subject, plot, heroes, place and time, narrator-point of view. Selma Fındıklı's biography was evaluated and the relationship between work and life was evaluated together and the text-based method was used in the analysis of the works. Later, the stories and novels of the author were analyzed in terms of language, style and expression techniques. One of our recent female writers, Selma Fındıklı, focuses on issues of sadness, loneliness, separation, war, immigration and marriage. The author also included non-Muslim heroes in his works. Selma Fındıklı has also reflected the social life of her periods in her novels and stories to her works. The author frequently included historical events and folk culture in his novels and stories. Selma Fındıklı has used local narratives, subtractive sentence structures, stereotyped expressions, classical and modern narrative techniques in her stories and novels.
