Abstract (EN)

Feminism, which emerged at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, is briefly a movement that aims to eliminate the sexist exploitation and oppression of women who are oppressed, ignored and seen as a secondary species within the patriarchal milieu. It bears significant importance as it eliminates and expresses these negativities towards women who are under male hegemony in terms of creating a more just and livable society for everyone. This movement have been reflected in literature as a theory of feminist criticism. Feminist criticism, on the other hand, states that male-dominated ideologies and sexism in the patriarchal milieu have also become visible in the writing style, the masculine language is also reflected in literary works, and women are humiliated and despised through language. For this reason, feminist criticism aims to reveal male-dominated codes against women in literary works. In this study, the works of Sema Kaygusuz, one of the valuable pen of Turkish literature, have been analyzed with the feminist criticism method. Feminist aspects have been tried to be revealed in the studied works within the scope of feminist criticism theory. It has been ascertained that Sema Kaygusuz 's works examines the roles that the masculine mentality assigns to women, the close relationship of women with nature, the homophobic and aggressive attitude that develops against individuals outside the norms set by heteronormativity, and the negative effects of the sexist style in language on women within a feminist framework.
