Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to produce materials that can serve as water purification and similar filtration, especially for agricultural purposes, from household waste aluminum foils, which will become garbage and cause environmental pollution, by synthesizing zeolites, such as analcime and faujasite. Optimum synthesis conditions were determined by comparing the ripening conditions at different temperatures and different waiting times for the maturation of the crystals in the synthesis stage. XRD, BET and SEM analyzes of the obtained zeolites were performed and their characterizations were made. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that analcime and faujasite zeolites can be produced by leaving them to crystallize at 170 oC for analcime and 70 oC for faujasite for 96 hours. Zero charge points of zeolites were found by using KNO3 solutions at different pH values. The zero charge points calculated as a result of the analysis which were found as pH:7.2 for analcime and pH:8.5 for faujasite. In order to examine the ammonium, potassium, nitrate and phosphate adsorption properties of synthesized analcime and faujasite, the highest adsorption values above and below the zero charge point were determined and the adsorption values at these pH values were compared. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the ions with the highest adsorption of synthetic analcime were respectively; PO43- (at pH:6) and NH4+ (pH:8.1). The highest adsorption ions and pH values for synthetic faujasite are as follows; PO43- at pH:4 and NH4+ at pH:10. In the study, the highest adsorption data measured from 200 ppm solutions were found to be 107.1, 12.8, 14.2 and 46.8 mg/g for analcim PO43-, NO3-, K+ and NH4+ ions adsorption, respectively. The highest measured adsorption data of PO43-, NO3-, K+ and NH4+ ions for faujasite were 110, 15.2, 51.8 and 50.8 mg/g, respectively. In addition, the ability of the zeolites produced in the study to retain moisture in the air was measured as 2.6 percent for analcime and 4.7 percent for faujisite.
