Özet (EN)
Ceramics have an important place in human life. Ceramic, which is one of the oldest branches of art, was initially shaped for daily use. Certainly entering into the life of mankind day by day, ceramics have appeared in the form of Goddess and similar figures in religious ceremonies as well as their daily use in historical process. With its wide range of products, it is an indispensable material for many artists. Along with the advancing technology, many developments have been experienced in the field of ceramics as in every field. Almost all of our lives, ceramics, has undergone significant artistic stages. Technological and artistic advances have been made in shaping, glazing and firing methods. However, as a result of the experiences of the artists, ceramic art has gained a new dimension with alternative firing methods. Ceramic artists are still investigating what they can do with ceramics that offer unlimited possibilities. Another one is the use of different additive materials in ceramic bodies with the desire to achieve different surface effects. Within the scope of the study, the use of textiles in ceramic bodies was investigated. After the literature review, the works performed by national and international ceramic artists were examined, shaping methods were investigated and personal applications related to the technique were made. The difficulties encountered in the applications created by combining the textile material with the ceramic structure, the advantages and disadvantages of the material and the related technique to the artists are discussed. As a result, it is seen that artists prefer different textile types and shaping methods in ceramic bodies. These methods are free-hand, moulding, hanging, to obtain texture on the wet surface and forming by stencil. It is seen that artists transfer plastic expression, which is one of the most prominent features of ceramics, to the ceramics more easily and with a realistic approach with the textile product. At the same time, it is seen that some ceramic artists make metaphors about the phenomenon they want to tell.
