Abstract (EN)
Given the stress and labor intensity of the service sector towards direct customer satisfaction, it is inevitable that even the two most common factors, such as long working hours and inadequate wages, affect the job-life balance of occupants who embrace financial consulting as a profession and who require material and spiritual satisfaction in their work and life. Accountancy have long history in Turkey and that it undertakes are a profession that is important both in terms of business and government, which has a direct impact on both economic and social life. Nevertheless, there is not yet a powerful literature measuring the interaction of accountancy profession in Turkey with social and economic implications. This study has been prepared to meet the information needs of the literate business, accounting circles and researches, aiming to fill a significant gap in the accounting literature by measuring the work-life balance of accountants. Within the scope of the survey, a survey form was used to measure the work-life balance of public accountants working in Diyarbakır. In the questionnaire form, Work-Life Balance Scale is included with personal information. 147 people including 40 females and 107 males were included in the survey. According to the findings obtained from the research; Education, the impact of personal life on work, and the effect of working with a partner. However, marital status has a significant effect on the effect of work on personal life; It has been found that other personal information belonging to the participant group has no effect on the work-life balance.
