Abstract (EN)
This thesis was conducted to investigate the effects of forest management certificate on the sales prices of forest products in Bolu province. This study explored the role forest certification among the determinants of industrial roundwood prices. Transaction data was collected from certified and uncertified forest management directorates for period of 2014-2017. General price model were constructed as well as different models for fir, black pine, beech and scotch pine. According to these models, there is no premium in the market for certified products for the timber and paperwood, which are the types of industrial wood modelled. There are few limited price premium exist as model results suggested. The General Directorate of Forestry, which incurred the cost of certification, has been indirectly supporting the forest industry companies that export certified products.
