The place complement in Sevinç Çokum's work named Çırpıntılar

In this thesis study, it is aimed to determine the place complements in Sevinç Çokum's work Çırpıntılar and to determine the properties and types of locative. The locative and its features in Turkey Turkish are included in line with the purpose of the thesis and have been tried to be classified. The scope of the locative complement was determined by evaluating its properties, structure and types. Based on these determinations, locative in Sevinç Çokum's novel Çırpıntılar were determined. The identified locative are classified according to their characteristics and types. The word groups that form place complements in Sevinç Çokum's novel Çırpıntılar are determined as noun phrases, adjective phrases and title groups. The determined word groups are classified according to their characteristics. This study was designed with a case study, one of the qualitative research methods. As a result, 792 locative complements were identified in the novel. When looked at according to the type of locative complement, it is seen that there are many locative complements with dative suffixes. It has been determined that there are more word groups formed with noun phrases than locative formed with word groups. It has been determined that there are more locative complements formed from noun words than locative complements formed from pronouns. Keywords: Syntax, Sentence, Local Component, Sevinç Çokum
