Abstract (EN)
In this study, uplift capacity of anchor plates embedded in sand with slope and without slope was investigated by conducting laboratory model tests. Square shaped anchor plates were used in the tests. In the tests, angle of slope was kept as 30° and the height of the slope was always the same. In the model tests, the effect of embedment ratio of anchor plate, relative density of sand and the location of the anchor plate relative to the slope crest on the uplift capacity have been investigated. In addition to that, the numerical analysis of anchors embedded in sand were conducted by finite element based software PLAXIS 3D. The results obtained from the numerical analysis were compared with the results of the experimental studies.
