Abstract (EN)
In this work, total phosphorus, phosphorus forms and some physicochemical properties of sediments from the Seyhan Dam Lake, one of the most important reservoirs in the Mediterranean Region, were examined seasonally between October 2005 and August 2006. Based on the mean lake values, it was found that 84% of the total phosphorus was in inorganic forms, remaining 16% being in organic forms and among the studied phosphorus forms apatite phosphorus with 68% share was the dominant form. While seasonal variation in phosphorus and all phosphorus forms, except organic phosphorus, were not significant, differences among stations were statistically significant. Phophorus forms showed significant positive correlation with clay and significant negative correlation with sand fractions. Key words : Seyhan Dam Lake, Phosphorus, Sediment, SMT Protocols
