Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) and tilapia (Oreochromis aureus) as a second yield reared in floating cages in Seyhan dam lake

Prof.Dr. Suat DlKEL Year 2002, Pages 39 Jury: Asst.Prof.Dr. Suat DİKEL Asst.Prof.Dr. Nazmi TEKELİO?LU Asst.Prof.Dr. Murat BİLGÜVEN In this study, rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) was reared in floating cages in winter period and Tilapia (Oreochromis aureus) reared in summer period in Seyhan Dam Lake. Rainbow trout fry with 16.34±1.45 cm total lenghts and 56.45±6.10 g weights were used in first stage of trial. At the end of the experiment, it was found 27.75±0.89 cm total lenghts and 277.54±18.50 g weights. Daily weight gains and focd conversion ratios 2.95g and 1:1.15 respectively. At the end of the experiment, total yield was found 13.5 kg.m"3. Tilapia fry with 3.89±0.34 cm total lenghts and 0.95±0.27 g weights were used in second stage of trial. At the end of the experiment, it was found 17.25±2.98 cm total lenghts and 131.58±7.12 g weights. Daily weight gains and food conversion ratios 1.45g and 1:1.21 respectively. At the end of the experiment, total yield was found 6.5 kg.m"3. Key Words: Rainbow trout, Floating Cages, Tilapia II
