Abstract (EN)

In this study, due to the allelochemicals of Datura stramonium, to form a step of integrated control systems to be made in agricultural areas and environmentally friendly operation, the redrooted pigweed (Amaranthus retroflexus L.), lamb's quarters (Chenopodium album L.) weeds and sugarbeet (Beta vulgaris L.) on the germination of culture plant is aimed to determine. The study was carried out in 2019 at the Plant Protection Department of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. The methanol extracts of the leaves collected during the flowering period of the jimson weed plant were 30, 40, 50 and 60%; as to water extract was used in concentrations of 5, 15, 30, 40, 50 and 60%. Only pure water was applied to the control petris. In the experiment, germination was obtained only in the water extract. In 5% concentration of water extract, germination inhibition was observed 89% in sugarbeet and 55% in redroot pigweed. Germination was not observed in all remaining application and concentration values and 100% germination inhibition occurred. According to these results, the jimson weed plant, which is known to have hyoscyamine and scopolamine, which is one of the strongest tropan alkaloids, showed toxic effects against sugarbeet and redroot pigweed and lamb's quarters even at low concentrations. It is believed that the results obtained with the new studies will contribute to the integrated weed management the use and development of biopreparations which are more sensitive to human health and environment.
