Abstract (EN)

Advice type texts, which take their source from the religion of Islam, have attracted a lot of attention in Arabic, Persian and Turkish literature. After the Turks accepted Islam, many works of this type were written. Advices are works that encourage people to do good, beautiful and truth, and advise individuals to avoid evil. In such works, poets not only advise the morals of the Qur'an, but also give advice in accordance with the customs and traditions of the society. Advices have religious-moral and didactic features in this respect. It is aimed to improve the society in such texts, which are preferred to be written during the breaking periods of societies. There are also moral works written for sultans and statesmen. Imam-i Gazzâlî's work named Nasîhatü'l-Mülûk is a work that can be an example of the type of politics as well as the advice type. In his work dedicated to the Great Seljuk ruler, Ghazali mentions the qualities that an ideal statesman should have. The work, which was copyrighted in Persian, was very popular and was translated into many languages, especially Turkish. One of the Turkish translations of the work is XIX. It was built by Seyyid Mehmed Lutfi, who lived in the 16th century. The author, who does not have much information about his life, his work XIX. It was translated at the request of Hüsrev Pasha, one of the influential grand viziers of the century. In this study, the concepts of advice and politics are mentioned, and the lives and works of Imam-i Gazzâlî and Seyyid Mehmed Lutfî are included. The work named Terceme-i Nasîhatü'l-Mülûk has been examined and necessary determinations have been made.
