Abstract (EN)
Samah folk songs have a special place among the Turkish Folk Music genres that need to be handled and researched in a multidimensional way in line with the many faith-based concepts they contain. Samah Folk Songs, which ensure the transmission of the Alevi belief for generations, have carried not only the principles of belief but also various social and societal phenomena to the present day while undertaking the task of oral history transmission. Within the scope of the proposed research, in the specific case of Seyyid Sultan Şücaaddin Veli, who has an important place in Alevi belief and is considered one of the four great masters; a comparative analysis of the samah type folk songs performed in cems and a detailed analysis of the similar modes, the performance styles of local artists and the instruments used during the performance was carried out. Two villages (Eskişehir Aslanbeyli and Ankara Aydıncık), known for their devotion to Seyyid Sultan Şücaaddin Veli Quarry and located far from each other, were chosen as the research area. In the first part of the study consisting of three parts; etymological information of concepts such as Alevism, Cem, Bektashism, Babaiism, Kizilbash, Samah were examined. In the second part, a detailed conceptual examination of Seyyid Sultan Şücaaddin Veli Quarry Alevism was carried out. In the last part of the study, 10 samahs played in cem ceremonies in Eskişehir Aslanbeyli and Ankara Aydıncık villages of Seyyid Sultan Şücaaddin Veli Quarry were compiled and notated and the results of the research were shared. The most important output of the study is the musical analysis of the findings (comparative analysis of the samahs in terms of techniques such as modes, sound modifier signs, strong sounds, tempo and metronome). enriched with digital resources such as video and audio recordings.
