Sezai Karakoç is one of our great poets and intellectuals growing after Republic Period. He became one of the leading artist of ?II.New? poems. During his life as a poet, the artist who was faithful to the ?II.New? devoted himself to the idea of `resurecction? and wrote his works on this subject. `Resurecction? is a notion which wants the Islamic civilization and nations to rise again. Both in his poems and in his prose, Karakoç was in an effort to create a resurecction generationKarakoç wrote poems on many subjects. One of the notions which was dealt with in his poems is ?mother and child? notion. The ?mother and child? notion which Karakoç uses in his poems sometimes reflects some parts from the poet?s own life and sometimes this notion is dealt with in general. The ?mother and child notion in Karakoç?s poems are generally shaped by the notion of resurecction. The mother is the child?s first and greatest teacher.
