Abstract (EN)
In this research, the demonstration of the arterial vascularization and presentation of morphometrical development analysis of kidneys in cattle in prenatal term was aimed. 40 numbers of Holstein cattle fetuses supplied from local slaughterhouses of Diyarbakır were used in the study. The correction fetus age was evaluated with the measuring of crown-rump length (CRL) and depending upon this, the fetuses belong to the first, middle and last term of the gestation were divided into different three groups including ten animals in each group. For morphometrical measurement, the latex injection was given to 30 animals belong to every 3 terms of pregnancy and 60 kidneys and its renal arteries were evaluated. Additionally, for exhibiting of intrarenal vascularization, the acrylic application was done and the casts of 20 kidneys in 3-6 months-old fetuses achieved by corrosion cast method were investigated. The morphological changes of kidneys in intrauterine life were assessed. The measurement relating to kidneys and kidney arteries were maintained by digital caliper compass. Statistical analyses of data obtained from this study was performed by Mann-Whitney U test and Pearson Correlation Test. Although there was not seen any significant differences between right and left kidneys, the significant differences (P<0,001) among the terms of gestation were detected. It has been found that the measured parameters between both right and left sides and gestational age have positive correlation. Four types of intrarenal branching models in fetuses were manifested. Type I of branching model was seen in half of the specimens, both type II and III of branching models were seen at 20 % of samples and type IV of branching model was seen at 10 % of samples. Cases of double and multiple renal arteries were detected. The findings obtained from the study were discussed with comparing the results of the studies in literature. The results of this study may be thought that the findings attained from fetal organs with the using of techniques such as sonography and radiography, may help to determine the differences of morphology of kidney compared to the normal structure depending on congenital pathologies and may be references for further studies concerning organ morphology in prenatal term.
