Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, information and the increasing accessibility to information brought a brand-new trend where the information technology and the information management systems are used more widely from the producer to the consumer. The trend named "Digital Transformation" or "Industry 4.0" has an optional importance for the consumers in terms of functionality and speed and plays a significant role for the producers in terms of sustainability. Within the frame of this importance producers have to transform and manage all the processes especially the production processes based on information. This production method which is referred as the notion of "Cyber-Physical Production Systems" in literature; is based on the idea of processing the data obtained from the existing production process via internet of things, big data analysis, cloud computing and similar technologies in a cyber environment and to use the obtained data in terms of prediction of the physical production environment and the management of the process. In the light of the definition, the first step to be taken in the transition from traditional production systems to cyber-physical production systems in an organization, is considered to be the necessity of making the production infrastructure as being able to produce data. In order to fulfil the requirement at the level of practice, the implementation area of the study was determined as localized TEKA VTC hob production facility in İzmir. The innovative side of this implementation designed for the transition to the cyber-physical production systems is the identification of the components taking place in the production process by means of "Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)" technology without requiring any infrastructural changes and a serious investment. Therefore, the data generated from the components being able to produce information digitally, could be collected to be processed in a cyber environment with a single board computer compatible to the developed algorithm and may be used in the process management. With this implementation carried out through the cooperation between the university and the industries; a digital transformation awareness was developed from the perspective of information-based efficient production and efficient management in the facility, and an applied detailed research based on the information formation regarding cyber-physical production systems was performed academically.
