Abstract (EN)

Violence against women is accepted both a crime against humanity and a woman's health problem. Hundreds of studies have been carried out by different sciences interested with this issue all around to Word. It was detected that one third of the women in the world were exposed to violence. Women are trying to cope with the violence they are subjected to in some way. Religious coping method is one of them. In this study, the concept of violence and women who have been exposed to violence have been examined whether they prefer to resort to religious coping methods. This research consists of two parts; theoretical and field research. In the first part, thebasic concepts of gender, violence against women and religious coping concepts are discussed. In the second part of the study, the findings were evaluated and interpreted objectively by comparing them with other related researches. Considering the results of the study, the hypothesis: "Women who are exposed to violence are trying to overcome their problems with religious coping" has been proved.
