The Tyche Temple in Side

The subject of this thesis is the study of TheTyche Temple found in the ancient city of Side in Pamphylia. The thesis contains five chapters. Chapter one is the introduction chapter of thesis. In chapter two geographical locations of Pamphylia Region and Side, the city of Side, the history of the city and a history of the researches of the city are mentioned. In chapter three the location of the temple and the buildings around are explained, the early researches and the modern researches are mentioned. Also a detailed explanation of the architecture, dating according to the archaeological data are made and the cult of Tyche in Side is mentioned. In the fourth chapter examples of the circular buildings of Greek and Roman architecture are discussed and compared with The Tyche Temple for their architecture and functions. The fifth and the final chapter is the conclusion part. In this chapter the subject of the thesis and the data from the last researches are overviewed.
