Abstract (EN)

The rapid development in economy and technology in the last century has led to an increase in communication and interaction between people and the development of social relations. The fact that people interact easily by communicating has brought about an increase in conflicts and disagreements. Trying to resolve all disputes at courts has led to the emergence of inadequacies in the current system and the long duration of the proceedings. Therefore, there is a need for alternative dispute resolution methods, which do not replace state proceedings, but provide relief from the burden in the proceedings. The interest in alternative dispute resolution methods in our country is increasing day by day, especially because it is less costly and results are obtained in a shorter time. At this point, it is important for the trust for insurance sector that the disputes in the field of insurance law are resolved in a short time, together with alternative dispute resolution methods. As a result of this ascribed importance, the aim of the study is to gather the alternative dispute resolution methods in insurance law under a single study title, to be recognized in a holistic way, to become widespread and to have up-to-date information about the issues to be encountered in practice. In order for alternative dispute resolution methods to work in accordance with the basic principles of insurance law, first of all, alternative dispute resolution methods were discussed in general, then mediation, insurance arbitration, consumer arbitration board, arbitrator-expert institutions, which are alternative dispute resolution methods in insurance law, were explained one by one and the evaluation was made together with the criticisms made in the judicial decisions and doctrine by including the latest current developments.
