his thesis is concerned with the Poetics of Sufi.sın. Poetics as a term existing in written criticism means the act of unveiling the constituents of the literary discourse, or in another sense questioning the literary identity. in search of the roots of Poetics, scholars went back to Aristotle's, but they placed the term within the frame of literary theories. Other scholars in modern literature like Todorova drew attention to the fact that this term should be treated in a wider range. As such, Poetics in modern literary criticism became more engaged with the discourse in general be it literary or non literary. Within this concept, my thesis intends to reveal the constituents of the Sufi discourse especially that of Muhiyddin bin Arabi and Jalal din Rumi, ocusing on their literary outcome to be taken as the paradigm and matter for mywork. Being both, Ibn Arabi and Rumi, associated with two neighboring languages, I followed the methodology of comparative literature as a pathway in conducting the constituents of the discourse in addition to relying on historical consequents and their inıpact on vısıonary transformatio ns. This paper, precisely focusing on both Ibn Arabi and Rumi, finally concludes that their Sufi discourse is based on two main constituents: existence and language, knowledge and remnants.
