Abstract (EN)

The study was conducted to determine the effect of different sowing dates (3 March, 8 April and 27 April) on the yield, yield components and nodulation of some chickpea cultivars (cv.Yaşa-05, cv.Hisar cv.Zuhal and cv.Sezenbey) at the experimental fields of the Faculty of Agriculture, Siirt University in 2016. The study was carried out in a split plot design with three replications. In the study, main plots consist of sowing dates and sup plots consist of cultivars. Results of the study indicated that fenological parameters such as emergence time ranged between 13.8-17.8 days, flowering time between 50.6-76.7 days, pod setting time between 52.3-84.0 days and maturation time between 84.4-115.4 days. Yield and yield parameters such as plant height ranged between 40.6-58.4 cm, the height of first pod between 28.2-37.3 cm, number of main branches per plant between 1.3-1.8, pod number per plant between 10.3-23.3, seed number per plant between 9.4-23.3, dry weight of root between 0.463-1.394 g/plant, fresh weight of root between 2.359-7.655 g/plant, dry weight of shoot between 4.881-7.956 g/plant, fresh weight of shoot between 25.093-37.758 g/plant, number of nodules per plant between 9.7-26.6, 100-seed weight between 36.0-44.0 g, seed yield between 53.4-183.3 kg/da, biological yield between 169.0-477.6 kg/da, protein rate between 23.5-25.3% and harvest index between 29.6-41.6%. According to the results of study the highest seed yield was obtained from cv.Sezenbey sowing at 3 March.
