Silahlı çatışmaların melezleşmesi, güç sarkaçları: Maliyet temelli bir analiz (1945-2015)

Parallel to the transformation of the wars throughout history, there was a significant break after 1945. One of the most important changes observed in the armed conflicts following this break is that hybridization becomes a fundamental component. However, it is also observed that, in some periods, hybridization increases, and in some periods, hybridization decreases. This study examines the causes for this observation and its effects on actor behaviours. A comparison was made between the new wars studies, the fourth-generation warfare studies and Clausewitzian studies that attempted to explain the hybridization. As a result, power pendulum concept, which was shaped by cost in response to the comparison, was developed. In addition, it was concluded that actors' preceiving of hybridization changed according to the increase or decrease in costs. Finally, it was also concluded that actor behaviors were shaped in four periods after 1945, and stabilities and changes of the use of power in the system could be observed over these four periods.
