Abstract (EN)
In this study, new type asymmetric schiff bases not found in literature were synthesized. Synthesized compounds were obtained from condensation of ethylenediamine and o-phenylenediamine of salicylaldehyde derivatives. Synthesized Schiff base ligands and their Co(II) and Mn(III) metal complexes were characterized by analytical and spectroscopic techniques. Silica gel surface modified with HCl was attached to the 3-propyltriethoxysilane. Metal complexes synthesized in high yields were linked coordinative bond to obtained solid support. Immobilized complexes used as heterogeneous catalysts, it was used as a catalyst on the epoxidation of the styrene in the presence of TBHP. Catalytic studies showed that optimum conditions were determined as metal amount in styrene/catalyst 0,5%, reaction temperature 80 °C, reaction time 8 hours and solvent acetonitrile. In addition, it was determined that the heterogeneous catalyst was stable and can be reused feature.
