Adverb-verbs and their functions in Simbat Maksutova's work named "Asar"

In this study, gerunds and their functions in Kyrgyz Turkish, which has an important place in the Kipchak group dialects, were examined. Taking Simbat Maksutova's work "Asar" as an example, gerunds and gerund groups are discussed. In the first stage of the study, gerund suffixes used in Kyrgyz Turkish were identified. While determining these suffixes, the gerund suffixes in Hülya Kasapoğlu Çengel's "Kyrgyz Turkish Grammar (Sound and Shape Information)" were taken as basis. Then, Simbat Maksutova's work "Asar", which was selected as the review text, was scanned and the gerund suffixes in the work were identified. The sentence containing the gerund was transferred from Kyrgyz Turkish to Türkiye Turkish. While examining the gerund functions, which is the main subject of the study, the functions of the sample sentences translated into Turkey Turkish were determined and shown under the title of the function of the relevant suffix. The study consists of two parts. In the introduction in the first chapter, information about Kyrgyz literature, the gerund and its definition, the life of the author of the selected work and the work are given. In the second part, the main subject of the study, the gerund and its functions, was examined. The gerund suffixes used in Kyrgyz Turkish are examined under two headings: simple and compound gerunds. Firstly, the historical development of the relevant crop is mentioned. Then, the identified sample sentences are included under the heading of the functions of the relevant suffix. A total of thirteen gerund suffixes were examined. It can be seen that there are almost no studies on gerunds in Kyrgyz Turkish in the Turkology literature. For this reason, the subject of the thesis was chosen as the examination of gerunds in Kyrgyz Turkish with the example of Simbat Maksutova's work "Asar". The aim of the study is to contribute to science by adding a new study to the grammar studies on Kyrgyz Turkish. Key Words: Kyrgyz Turkish, Simbat Maksutova, Asar, Adverb.
