Abstract (EN)
Humankind and mythology have been together since they have exist, and make each other significant. They are connected and one of them cannot exist without the other. The question on this point that why people need mythologies? Mankind has been wondering the reasons of creation and death since he has been existed. In this context, they needed gods so they have created gods to explain the nature around them. These gods have not only some similarties all around the world, but also they have differences from society to society and from culture to culture. Indeed to reseaerch the myths of a society, we should know all the details of that people and the region that they live and their history. This research focused on Simurg, so in this context, this mythological birds creation and taking its formation has been considered in the first part of thesis. In the second part of this research, it has been studied Iran region and its history from early ages to Islam. In the third part of this reaserarch, the mythological characters who like Simurg and role formation of Iran Simurg,has been studied. The cultures which has considered in this part had relationship with İran. For example, Mesopotamia civilizations and Iran had a relationship because of neigbourlinees, Indian and Slavic people had a relationship with Iran because they were close races, China and Egypt had a relationship with Iran because of trade, Greek and Roman civilizations had relationship with Iran because of competition. Continuation of this part, it was searched that the connections between Iran Simurg and the Simurg in Semitic religions. In the forth part of this study, Simurg which is in Iran culture and literature has been discussed. In this part, in the context of Simurgs gender and the place that Simurg lives, its character and its meaning in Iran culture was disscused. To search this mythological characters features, it was benefited some mainly resources like Avesta, Shahname and Mantıku't-tayr. In the last part of this study, it was featured that Simurgs images and descriptions which are from past and recent. As this studies name implies, Simurgs evolution and changes in the shape of Simurg thorught the ages was discussed.
