A study on the use of literary and sufi terms in Sinan Pasha's Tazarru'-nâme

In this thesis, the literary and mystical terms and concepts in the work named Tazarru'-nâme of Sinan Pasha, that being one of from important scholarly personalities of the Fatih period by determined were explained. During this period, Sinan Pasha by rising to vizier received the title of "Hâce-i Sultani" and was called by be"Hodja Pasha". In addition to his artistry, he performed the duties of kadi, mudarris and grand vizier. XV. Sinan Pasha, who had his name written in the 19th century with his science, also came to the fore in classical literature with his work Tazarru'-nâme. Tazarru'-nâme is a source that has many materials in with carefully chosen words, the speech and alliterations and with voluminous rhetoric, with literary and mystical terms and concepts. The first chapter was called by be "Literary Terms" and terms such as "couplet, ebyat, munacat, tawhid, naat, ghazal, masnavi, story, prose, poetry, divan, dibâce, commentary, inşâ" are explained. In the second part, under the title of "Literary Concepts", it was briefly explained such as "âb-ı hayât, rose, nightingale, humâ, tulip, daffodil, simurg, âsitân, bezm-i elest, micmer, fate, pirûze, nesim, çeşm, afitâb, teşne, baran" the lexical meaning of the concepts and then it was tried to be explained with examples. In the third part of the study, the most voluminous part of the study by placing to mystical terms such as "love, poverty, repentance, soul, zühd ma'rifat, patience, fear and hope, consent, gratitude, sema, zahid, behisht, kevser, mi'rac, burak" analyzed relating to verse and prose parts. If in the conclusion part, a general evaluation by to made on that data obtained literary and mystical terms and concepts in Sinan Pasha's Tazarru-nâme were determined.
