Reproduction of violence content in movies, master thesis

The aim of this thesis is to define the reproduction of violence content in movies and to show the reproduction process by evaluating Quentin Tarantino films. The reproduction process of violence is evaluated considering the aesthetization and manipulation concepts.In the study, the selected scenes of Quentin Tarantino?s ?Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill Vol. 1 ve Kill Bill Vol. 2? movies were analyzed regarding the ?Narratological Theory? of Gerard Genette, consisting story, narration and recital topics. The semiological analysis was used.As a result of the semiological analysis, it is determined that violence is aesthetized using aesthetic components which forms the image, and manipulated, therefore violence is reproduced.
