Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is description and characterisation of sinoatrial nodal artery (SNA) and atrioventricular nodal artery (ANA) that supplies sinoatrial and atrioventricular nodes with multidedector computed tomography. In our study, 400 patients, who have been refered to our department for coronary CT angiography were evaluated. We evaluated 350 patients by using dual source multidedector CT and 50 patients by using 64-section multidedector CT. Transverse sections with a thickness of0.6 mm were used in dual source multidedector CT studies and 0.8 mm were used in 64-section multidedector CT studies for the evaluation of coronary vessels and conduction system branches.Anatomic origin, localization of the origin, diameter, number, course, and variants of the arteries to the SAN and AVN were examined with coronary multidetector CT in the patients. There was one SNA in 383 (%95.7) patients, two SNAs in 17 (%4.2) patients. In 233 (%58.2) patients one SNA originated from RCA, in 149 (%37.2) patients one SNA originated from LCX artery, and in one patient one SNA originated from aorta.Atrioventricular nodal artery originated from distal RCA in 351 patients (%87.7 of all patients), and from distal LCX artery in 49 patients (%12.3 of all patients).
