Abstract (EN)
Since the existence of nations, it has been aimed to express feelings and thoughts within the society and to meet in a common denominator with other people. This situation, which is also valid for the Turkish nation, is the singing of poetry in ceremonies such as yuğ, feast, cattle, which were previously performed jointly by the people. This situation has gained a new dimension with the change of the environment, belief and as a result, Turkish culture has incorporated many different elements. Turkish poetry, which gained a mystical dimension with the migration to Anatolia and the transition to Islam, left the sacredness it contained over time and turned towards poems about the individual. These new poems formed the literature of minstrelsy. After the transition to Anatolia, the minstrels, who ensured the continuity of the old tradition, took the place of the poets living in the past. This tradition formed around minstrels formed a literature that describes the feelings and thoughts of the people. The tradition of minstrelsy in Anatolia is more prominent in certain regions in terms of both the performance environment and the number of minstrels. Sivas, one of these provinces, has made important contributions to the tradition both in the past and today with the minstrels it harbors. Thanks to the preservation of the vitality of the tradition in this region and the abundance of performance environments, the number of minstrels is higher than in other regions. Bayrak Ana was born and raised in Sivas, this environment where the tradition of minstrelsy is alive. Bayrak Ana, who is of Yoruk and Turkmen origin, is a folk poet with a high love for homeland, nation and country. In this thesis, the life, art, the elements that make up the art and the characteristics of the poems of the folk poet from Sivas were examined, and these examinations were presented with examples
