Creating special-purpose clothing design with new-techonology fabrics for using in civilian defense

The other goal of the research is to find out the movement limits of civilian defence personnel during the search and rescue operations which need special cloth projection and high-technology produced fabrics; and to learn the problematic parts and the causes of problems.Research was all completed with Civilian Defense staff that work in various Turkish Civilian Defense Units. Available Civilian Defense AKUT personnel have been selected as sample. In this direction, 114 Search and Rescue technician personnel from Sakarya and Ankara Civilian Defense Units participated in preliminary survey.After trying the prepared task clothes, according to the filled evaluation forms? results, were decided the final task clothes? model features by doing necessary modification and examination on all the models.As a result of decision of final model, in the sewing; ?nomex? technological featured fabrics and ?cordura? (inside membrane-coated, waterproof, breathing feature) fabrics were used.There are two parts for the cloth model: Jacket and Trousers. Cloth model was produced as two-side dress. The outer part was produced as task cloth, and the inner part as civilian dress. The final model was manifactured for Medium and Large bodies according to the personnel which had filled preliminary survey forms.During a month, among the prepared Civilian Defense task clothes, Medium and Large bodies have been tried by 45 personnel that had filled preliminary survey forms. As a result of tryings, made the personnel fill the final survey forms.Recent surveys by the form of personnel, tasks clothes fit the body, the model features and details, clothing and fabric properties are related to try to determine satisfaction levels.With the final survey forms, tried to determine the satisfaction level of personnel about the fitting, model features, details and fabrics features.Saw the signifiance of difference between the preliminary and final survey opinions.According to the basic findings of the research, AKUT personnel are not satisfied with current dresses, there are some points on fabrics and models that AKUT personnel don?t like. As a result of new cloth tests, characteristics of fabrics, sizes and models are generally appreciated. In the comparison of preliminary and final survey results, there is a significiant difference for the fabric features in favor of new clothes. Discussing the findings, proposals have been developed for the thesis.
