Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to reveal the effect of attachment styles and personality traits developed by individuals in early childhood on volunteer behavior in civil society. Based on this, a questionnaire was applied to 268 people, 135 of whom volunteered in non-governmental organizations, 133 of whom were not volunteers in the nongovernmental organization. Socio-Demographic Information Form, Relationship Scale Questionnaire and Five Factor Personality Traits Inventory scales were used in the study. After the factor and reliability analysis of the scales used in the study, t-test analysis was applied to test the hypotheses according to the designed model. According to the findings obtained from the study, a significant difference was found on the voluntary behavior of the dimensions of responsibility, openness and compliance, which are among the five factor personality traits dimensions. No significant difference was found on the voluntary behavior of the other two dimensions of five factor personality traits, extraversion and emotional balance. Regarding the dimensions of attachment types, it was found that indifferent attachment, secure attachment, and fearful attachment do not have a significant difference on the volunteer behavior of the individual in civil society.
