Abstract (EN)

The Sivrice-Maden Circle, located within the "Southeastern Taurus" region of the Upper Euphrates section of the Eastern Anatolia Region, is located within the borders of Elazığ province and contains a large part of the Hazar township connected to the Maden district and a large part of the center boulevard. The elevation of the Southeastern Taurus in excess of 2500 m at both ends gradually decreases towards the Hazar Lake-Maden line in the central part, dropping to 2000 m. In the area of the Hazar Lake, Behramaz and Çitli basins, which constitute the most pit areas of this descending area, and the mountainous areas that surround these pit areas from the north and south, the main directions of the earth's formations are southwest-northeast. This extension also paralleled the extension of tectonic lines. The most important stream of our research area is the Maden river and its side-ridges, which form the western side of the Dicle Ridge. Maden river, south of Tekevler village, is settled down to the original valley which gradually becomes narrower and deeper, and is referred to as Dicle Ridge. The research area is a transition between the climate that is dominant in the upper half of the Upper Euphrates region and the deteriorated Mediterranean climate of Southeastern Anatolia, which is less terrestrial than the other parts of the Eastern Anatolia Region, one side of the main lines north and south of these climates, while the characteristics of one of the unique climatic conditions attracts attention. Due to geographical location and geomorphologic features, this regional climate is cooler and less arid in summer than in its surroundings and its winters are more rainy and especially in the vicinity of Sivrice. The Sivrice-Maden Environs, both the soil and the natural vegetation, has lost its true character due to the destruction that has existed for many years. As a matter of fact, while today's natural environmental conditions require the formation of chestnut-colored or brown soils, the red-brown soils, which are steadily the land of transitional areas, have become dominant in the area. In terms of vegetation, natural environment conditions require that a section close to the whole of the site is covered with forest cover. However, it is not possible to find even the remains of forests except for the only trees that are found in various parts of the area.
