Determination of some fertility and milk yield traits of holstein dairy cows raised at Turkgeldi State Farm conditions

The material of this study was consisted of fertility and milk yields of Holstein dairy cows reared at Türkgeldi State Farm located in Kırklareli province. For this purpose, the fertility and milk yield records of 689 Holstein dairy cows from 2010 to 2017 years were used. In this study, the mean calving interval (CI), days open (DO), gestational length (GL), dry period (DP), lactation length (LL), lactation milk yield (LMY) and 305 days-milk yield (305 DMY) 380,06 ± 0,27 days, 106,27 ± 0,28 days, 273,82 ± 0,04 days, 63,39 ± 0,03 days, 316,70 ± 0,28 days, 8304,92 ± 77,30 kg and 8037,21 ± 76,90 kg; respectively. When the results of variance analysis were examined, it was found that the effects of calving year (P<0.01) and calving season (P<0.05) on CI were statically important, but not significant the effect of parity. The effects of calving year (P<0.01) and calving season (P<0.05) on DO were significantly important, but not significant the effect of parity. GL was not affected by parity, calving season and calving year. The effects of parity, calving season and calving year on DP were not statically important. LL was affacted by calving year and calving season (P<0.05), but not affected by parity. The effects of calving year (P<0.05), calving season and parity (P<0.01) on LMY and 305 DMY were found to be statically important.
