Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was determined body measurements of Holstein Cattle by digital image processing methods (DIPM). Then determination of ratios by divide each measurement to other and evaluation of the relationship between this ratios and production traits.By this aim, the body measurements of the 198 heads of Holstein cattle breed dairy cows determined by Fixed Object Video (FOV) method. The ratios determined by divide each body measurement to other then evaluated relationship between this ratios and daily average milk yield (DAMY), number of insemination for per calving (NIPC), age at firs insemination (AFI) and age at first calving (AFC). The relationship between DAMY, NIPC, AFI, AFC and body measurements which were; withers height (WH), back height (BH), rump height (RH), pin bone height (PBH), chest depth (CD), body length (BL), trunk length (TL), body area (BA) and body perimeter (BP) was low, negative and not statistical significantly (p>0.05). The multiple regression equation determined by using all ratios for estimation of DAMY, NIPC, AFI and AFC. The highest R2 calculated for DAMY by WH (0.389 (p<0.01), for NIPC by BA (0.344 (p<0.05)), for AFI by BP (0.266 (p<0.05)) and for AFC by BP (0.249 (p<0.05)) which used in multiple regression equations. It can be say that the using of DIPM is more practical than TM for determination body measurement of milking cows. The estimation power of regression equations which determined for estimation of milk and reproductive production such as DAMY, NIPC, AFI and AFC was low for Holstein cattle breeds milking cows.
