A review on Kazakhs living in Turkey in the context of the relationship between political culture and ethnicity

The concepts of political culture and ethnicity are one of the concepts that have been developed and interpreted since the day of the existence of humanity. In the formation of political views of societies, the effect of their ethnic origin is obvious and this effect can be easily observed in the researches. In this research, the political culture and socialization of the Kazakhs who came to Turkey with the Kazakh migrations that started in 1951 and lasted until the mid-1980s in 3 main waves will be discussed together with their ethnic origins. The aim of the study is to discuss the relationship between political culture, political socialization and ethnicity in a practical way and to develop an idea on the political cultures of Kazakhs living in Turkey. This work consists of three parts. The first part is more of a theoretical structure. The concepts of politics and culture have been studied from an etymological and conceptual perspective, and the relationship between these two concepts with political culture has been stated. In addition, the dimensions of the political culture and the factors affecting it have been discussed in detail and the influence of the family on the political aspect has been revealed. In the second part,the concept of ethnicity was discussed and the effect of the concept on political socialization and political participation, which is a relation of political culture, was examined. In addition, the main theme of our study, the migration from Kazakhstan to Turkey, was briefly discussed and details of the Kazakh culture were given. In the last section, the political cultures of Kazakhs in Turkey were discussed and the interview method was applied, which is a practical study. The sample group was asked questions about the relationship of political culture with ethnicity. Results and findings include the impact of ethnic race on political culture.
