Abstract (EN)

Political public relations is one of the most democratic method of political communication process. In this democratic system, the concept of persuasion is very important. Due to the fact that the democratic system is based on the persuasion element, the importance given to the public is also understood in time. As a result of the understanding of the importance given to the public, the political communication process has also changed and political public relations activities have started to be performed quite frequently. A process of mutual communication between voters and political parties has emerged with frequent public relations activities. Especially with the development of new communication technologies, voters are now actively involved in the political process. In this way, political actors convey the necessary information to voters; voters have the opportunity to communicate their feelings, thoughts, wishes and expectations to political actors. It has been tried to measure the effects of political public relations studies, especially new communication technologies, on the feelings, thoughts, attitudes and behaviors of the voters with this study. A total of 1.127 sample population living in Elazığ was included in the study. The results were statistically measured by SPSS 25.0 program and the data were analyzed. The most important finding of this study is that there is a lack of communication between political parties and voters. In this work, it was stated that political actors did not adequately introduce themselves to voters; It was also determined that the voters did not make enough efforts to communicate with the political actors.
