The research about candidates of classroom teachers' success levels in the Public Personal Selection Exam (PPSE) in terms of some variables

The research is a descriptive and correlative study in a general scanning mode. Samplings of the research are the candidates of classroom teachers (CCT) in the fourth grade ;being students at the department of classroom teaching at the Uşak University and Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in 2009-2010; who may graduate and join the PPSE in 2010. The SPPS 17.0 packed program is used in the dissambling of numerical data. Frequency, percentage ,averaging, standard deviation, the technique of Pearson Moments Multiplier Correlation coefficient,independent groups t-test and one way variant analysis ( the F test) statistical processes were used in the analysis of data.The results of the research shows that there is a low relationship in a positive way between CCT?s correct answers in PPSE Educatonal Sciences test and the Teaching Techniques and Principles, Evaluating, Special Education, Guidance, Psychology of Education, Teaching Technologies and Material Design lessons marks. In addition, there is no meaningful relationship between CCT's correct answers in PPSE Educational Sciences test and the introduction to education science lesson and claasroom management lessons marks. Furthermore it is concluded from the research that there is a modest correlation in a positive way between the average marks of educational lessons? that the students studied throughout their university education and correct answers in PPSE Educational Sciences test. It is found that there is a positive and meaningful correlation between the CCT's correct answers in PPSE General Culture test and average marks of the general culture lessons that the students studied throughout their university education. In addition there is positive modest relationship between the correct answers in General Culture test of PPSE and general culture lessons? marks. Despite being a positive low level correlation between CCT's correct answers in PPSE General Ability test and the Turkısh Lessons I: Written Communication , Turkish Lesson II: Oral Communication lessons average marks; there is no correlation between Basic Mathematics I and Basic Mathematics II lessons average marks. It is understood from the research that the relationship is positive low level between the CCTs average marks in general ability lessons? ,which the students studied throughout university education; and the correct answers in the General Ability test in PPSE. Despite being a modest positive correlation between PPSE-10 points and university diploma grades, there is no statistical and meaningful correlation between Student Selection Exam (SSE) points and PPSE-10 points. In terms of the number of correctly answered questions, there is a positive and meaningful relationship between both in Educational Sciences test and General Culture test - General Ability test; and the same correlation exists between General Ability - General Culture as well. There is no statistical differnce found between CCT's PPSE-10 points according to gender, the sort of high school from which the CCT graduated and university teaching branches.Key Words: Candidates of Classroom Teachers (CCT), Public Personal Selection Exam (PPSE), Department of Classroom Teaching.
