Related between classroom teachers' information literacy and 21st century teaching skills

Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationship between primary school teachers' information literacy and 21st century teaching skills. The relational survey model, which is one of the quantitative research types, was used in the study. The study was carried out with 203 classroom teachers from 18 different primary schools in the central district of Bolu province in the second term of the 2021-2022 academic year. In the research, "Information Literacy Scale" and "The 21st Century Teacher Skills Scale" was used. As a result of the research, it was found that the information literacy of the classroom teachers was "very high" in the ethical and legal regulations dimension of the scale, and "high" in the total and other sub-dimensions of the scale. According to the other scale used in the research, classroom teachers' 21st century teaching skills were "very high" in terms of managerial skills and affirmative skills; It was observed that the scale was at a "high" level in the total and other sub-dimensions of the scale. Information literacy and 21st century teacher skills of classroom teachers; does not differ according to gender, age and professional seniority. According to the variable of educational status, there was a difference in favor of graduate teachers in some dimensions of the scales. There is a "moderate" positive and significant relationship between the information literacy scale and the 21st century teacher skills scale.
